Talia Starr Filippelli is a psychotherapist in private practice and a mental health consultant to various organizations and media outlets such as CNN, CBS, Sesame Workshop, and The Genius of Play. She is a consultant to local schools and organizations providing custom psychoeducational workshops. She served as the mental health consultant to All Saints Episcopal Day School in Hoboken for 10 years (2013-2023) where she conducted presentations for parents, school staff, and students on a variety of topics including stress mgmt., social skills, emotional intelligence, navigating social media, sleep, and parenting. She serve as an Advisor to Sesame Workshop where my responsibilities include attending round table discussions about mental health for the benefit of Sesame Workshop creatives, as well as editing and providing feedback on Seasons 55 and 56 Sesame Street scripts to promote mental wellbeing and coping skills for target audience (children 3-8 yrs old and parents/caregivers). She is also an Ambassador and Expert Contributor to the Toy Association’s non-profit initiative called The Genius of Play. The Genius of Play provides free resources on their website to parents and caregivers on the different ways that play can build emotional intelligence and strengthen parent/child relationships.
