The goal of this webinar is to enhance understanding the varied homeless population, as well as factors contributing to the this crisis. Topics addressed will include issues related to being unhoused, the history of homelessness in America as well as its criminalization, psychiatric illness and substance use disorder and their impact on housing, lack of social support, and the housing availability crisis. Case managers and social workers need to face a multitude of issues to begin to chip away at the problems that keep people from finding a place they can call home.
