Bren Pramanik, Esq. is the Legal Director at Disability Rights New Jersey. Under Bren's leadership, Disability Rights New Jersey's legal team engages in individual and systemic litigation, policy work, and education to protect the rights of individuals with disabilities in New Jersey. At Disability Rights New Jersey, Bren has jointly filed a lawsuit against New Jersey's state psychiatric hospitals, co-authored a journal article for Loyola School of Law's Annals of Health Law, and contributed to the agency's Person First report about people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in nursing homes in New Jersey. Prior to their work at Disability Rights New Jersey, Bren was an Assistant Deputy Public Defender for the Office of the Public Defender in New Jersey. After law school, Bren clerked for the Honorable Joseph L. Rea at Middlesex County Superior Court, Criminal Division.
