This webinar will explore the healthcare system's role in responding to violence against women and children and provide participants with an understanding of the impact of violence and abuse on women's and children's health.  The workshop will also focus on how to appropriately screen patients for abuse, document information, and provide resources and referrals.  Special attention will be given to understanding obstacles and barriers encountered by individuals in diverse populations when receiving medical care.  Former title: Violence Against Women and Healthcare Response.
