Many professionals throughout the United States are mandated reporters of suspected child maltreatment. However, the legal requirement to report is often confusing to navigate in relation to our other professional and ethical responsibilities. This webinar provides profession-based context to the role of mandated reporter where professionals are charged with knowing how to support their clients and when they are required to report a concern to child protective services. Mandated reporters will learn a framework to guide the decision to make this “tough call” using research findings and practical advice based on real case examples.

This training meets the updated New York State standards for training in the identification and reporting of suspected child maltreatment which requires completion by November 17, 2026.

To earn CE credit, social workers must log in at the scheduled time, attend the entire course, and complete an online course evaluation. Certificates of completion will be emailed within 10 business days of course completion.
