Structural Family Therapy (SFT), developed by Dr. Salvadore Minuchin, is based on the belief that individual psychological problems are symptoms of dysfunction within the family system. The family is viewed as an organized system with an underlying structure that governs how the family members interact. This course will discuss SFT’s philosophical beliefs, work on developing the family map and identifying the family’s strength to bring change to the family.
To earn CE credit, social workers must log in at the scheduled time, attend the entire course, and complete an online course evaluation. Certificates of completion will be emailed within 10 business days of course completion.
