Priscila Llamosa, DSW, LCSW, RYT, is a clinical social worker, supervisor, author, and speaker. She serves as an Assistant Clinical Professor and CEO of the Center for Clinical Development and Supervision (CCDS), a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing high-quality, accessible, inclusive, and culturally responsive supervision and specialized clinical education for mental health practitioners. She is also the Clinical Director at Thrivemind Counseling and Wellness, a holistic mental health clinic in Eastern North Carolina. Dr. Llamosa is the author of multiple peer-reviewed publications and an open-access book, and she is a sought-after speaker and workshop facilitator.
Dr. Llamosa is a mixed-ethnicity, Latiné, cisgender woman whose clinical practice and supervision frameworks are grounded in social justice, decolonizing, and anti-oppressive approaches. She holds a Doctor of Social Work from the University of Kentucky and a Master of Social Work and graduate certificate in Military and Trauma Counseling from East Carolina University, where she received the Maria McMahon Achievement Award from the School of Social Work in 2015. She is also a 2022 Open Pedagogy Faculty Fellow at the University of North Carolina Wilmington and a former Vice President of the NASW-NC Board of Directors.
