Biography
Adam McCormick, PhD, is a Professor of Social Work at St. Edward's University and a national speaker on childhood trauma, masculinity, and identity development. He is the author of LGBTQ Youth in Foster Care (Routledge) and has published extensively on trauma-informed practice, child welfare, and the intersections of gender, sexuality, and resilience. His most recent book project explores the childhood trauma experiences of social workers. Dr. McCormick’s work emphasizes authenticity, connection, and healing, drawing on over two decades of experience as a practitioner, educator, and researcher.
