Teisha Diallo, MPA
Biography
Teisha Diallo is an accomplished nonprofit leader and the Vice President of the Community Access Department at CHASI, where she oversees a diverse portfolio of programs, including the Storefront Food Pantry, Mobile Food Pantry, CHAMP, Information & Referral, and Benefits Departments. In this role, she ensures operational excellence, strengthens community trust, and drives measurable outcomes that advance the agency's mission. Teisha has been serving in the social services field since 1992, beginning her career as a direct care worker supporting mentally challenged adults and children. Through hard work, dedication, and an unwavering commitment to the communities she serves, she climbed the ranks from frontline service to senior leadership--culminating in her current executive role. For eight years, Teisha led the only homeless outreach team on Staten Island, providing critical, direct support to individuals experiencing homelessness-many living with mental illness, substance use challenges, or HIV. She also directed the largest food and nutrition programs and soup kitchen on Staten Island, serving thousands of residents each year with dignity, compassion, and efficiency. Academically, Teisha earned her bachelor's in professional studies, a master's in public administration, and a Post-Master's Certificate in Psychology. She is currently pursuing her PhD in Mind-Body Medicine at Say brook University, further deepening her expertise in holistic, evidence-based approaches to health and well-being. Known for her strategic thinking and hands-on leadership, Teisha excels in building high performing teams, developing streamlined workflows, and implementing systems that enhance client experience and program efficiency. She is deeply committed to reducing barriers to resources for underserved communities, fostering partnerships, and creating sustainable solutions that promote food security, health equity, and social well-being. Her leadership style blends accountability with mentorship, empowering staff and volunteers to perform at their best while staying mission focused.
