Addressing Executive Functioning and Anger Management in Adults with ADHD: Evidence-Based Strategies for Clinicians
1:00 pm - 4:00 pm ET
Live Interactive Online Webinar
$60.00

Adults with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) frequently experience challenges that extend beyond inattention and hyperactivity. Difficulties with executive functioning—including planning, organization, emotional regulation, impulse control, working memory, and task initiation—can significantly impact occupational performance, interpersonal relationships, and overall quality of life. These executive function deficits are often accompanied by heightened irritability, frustration, and anger, which can further complicate treatment outcomes when left unaddressed.

This webinar provides clinicians with an evidence-based framework for understanding the relationship between executive dysfunction and anger in adults with ADHD. Participants will examine current research regarding neurobiological and cognitive factors that contribute to emotional dysregulation and reactive behaviors. The presentation will explore practical assessment strategies, CBT, skills-based approaches drawn from ecological psychology, and object relations concepts.

To earn CE credit, social workers must log in at the scheduled time, attend the entire course and complete an online course evaluation. Certificates of completion will be emailed within 10 business days of course completion.

  3. Apply evidence-based intervention strategies that target executive functioning deficits and anger management in adults with ADHD.
