Join us for this engaging “hands-on” webinar where participants will learn all the basics of cognitive therapy and how to apply it in their clinical practice. This training session will focus on turning CBT theory into practice and will teach participants a number of CBT tools and techniques. Participants will leave the session with new tools and skills to use at their practice. **Interactive practice sessions are including in this training.
To earn CE credit, social workers must log in at the scheduled time, attend the entire course and complete an online course evaluation. Certificates of completion will be emailed within 10 business days of course completion.

Objectives
At the conclusion of this webinar, participants will be able to:
- Explain the cognitive therapy model to their clients
- Identify and respond to Negative Automatic Thoughts (NATs) and Cognitive Distortions
- Engage clients in Socratic questioning and cognitive restructuring to develop balanced adaptive thinking
- Utilize the Downward Arrow method to identify Intermediate and Core Beliefs
- Help their clients to challenge and modify negative core beliefs
