Webinar
Formerly titled: Parents as Healers: Recovering from the Trauma of Domestic Violence. Extensive research, which has shown that children with stable caregivers can be more resilient to trauma, has alerted therapists to the need to include caregivers in a primary role in the child/adolescent’s healing. In this webinar, participants will be introduced to therapies and treatment approaches where caregivers are either the primary or the co-change agents in the treatment process. Techniques such as family play therapy, bibliotherapy, creative arts, playful psychoeducation, and effective parenting will be demonstrated and/or presented experientially.
