Eating disorders are serious and complicated to assess, diagnose and treat. Therapists and mental health professionals need training to identify the signs and symptoms of eating disorders. In this course, you'll learn how to understand the range of issues that present as an eating disorders, how to identify and treat them, as well as the warning signs. You'll gain an understanding of the spectrum from how disordered eating to serious eating disorders can be treated with a team approach. This course will discuss how diet culture strongly influences treatment and how your own relationship with food and personal body image impacts diagnosis and treatment.
